The Tiepolo is based on Queen Zenobia Addressing Her Soldiers in the National Gallery of art in Washington, D.C.
It is my current favorite painting and I spent many visits looking at it.
The shape derives from visual lines within the painting. Synchromism is about how color can be used to define space in a painting.
The most famous proponent of Synchromism was Thomas Hart Benton, and his influence can be seen in the work of Jackson Pollock.
