Subject
The 'Joinery Series' are derived from Japanese methods of wood joinery. This particular piece is based on the Mechigai-koshikake-kama-tsugi joint, lapped gooseneck mortise and tenon joint with stub tenons.

Object
The sculptures are concerned with the effect of shifting the plane of an object.
